Description

CONTROLL MF-574®

USE:

  • Drinkable water
  • Industrial water
  • Mineral water

CONTROLL MF-574 is a catalytic filtering medium, technically developed for removing iron, manganese, arsenic¹, aluminum, and hydrogen sulfide in water².

¹ To remove arsenic, prior consultation with our technical department is required.
² The information provided is reliable. In any case, it does not imply a guarantee or
responsibility assumed. CONTROLL MASTER does not know all the applications for which
this product can be used. Therefore, without obligations with respect to the convenience or
product liability for particular or proposed use.

Compared to the usual methods for removing iron and manganese, CONTROLL MF-574 has the following advantages:

  • Low implementation cost.
  • Low implementation cost.
  • It is not necessary to use regenerant (potassium permanganate).
  • Approved for use in NSF/ANSI-61 and NSF/ANSI-372 drinking water.
  • Estimated useful life of the CONTROLL MF-574 is up to 8 years, when used within the technical specifications for use in drinking water.

Additional Information:

In pressurized filters:

  • For the sum of Fe and Mn contents lower than 5ppm: use 65 kg of material per m³ of water to be treated filtration rate between 12 and 18 m³/h/m³ and backwash flow 3X the filtration flow, height of minimum bed layer inside the filter of 500mm
  • For the sum of Fe and Mn contents between 5 and 10ppm: use 100 kg of material per m³ of water to be treated filtration rate between 8 and 12 m³/h/m³ and backwash flow 3X the filtration flow, height of the bed layer inside the filter minimum of 600mm
  • For Fe/Mn levels above 10 ppm, consult Controll Master

In Open filters:

  • For the sum of Fe and Mn contents lower than 5ppm: always use 65 kg of material per m³ of water to be treated, filtration rate lower than 15 m³/h/m³ and backwash flow 3X the filtration flow, height of minimum bed layer inside the filter of 400mm
  • For the sum of Fe and Mn contents between 5 and 10ppm: always use 100 kg of material per m³ of water to be treated filtration rate less than 10 m³/h/m³ and backwash flow 3X the filtration flow, height of the bed layer inside the filter minimum of 500mm
  • For Fe/Mn levels above 10 ppm, consult Controll Master
  • Always place the Controll MF-574 on the thinnest layer of sand, the supporting layers of sand/pebbles must be calculated according to the manufacturing data of each filter (useful height, bottom distributors, crepine grooves/perforated tubes /Leopold blocks and etc.)

FOR CONTROLL MF-574, DENSITY 2.0 IS CONSIDERED IN THE CALCULATIONS.
