Filters: filtration rate

Input data

Flow

Superficial area

Number of filters

Output data

Filtration rate

Description

Given the flow to be filtered, the superficial area of each filter, and the number of filters, the average filtration rate is calculated.

Formula

86400QnA\frac{86400 \cdot Q}{n \cdot A}

Where:

  • Q/AQ/A = filtration rate (m³/m².d)\text{(m³/m².d)}
  • QQ = flow (m³/s)\text{(m³/s)}
  • AA = superficial area of each filter (m²)\text{(m²)}
  • nn = number of filters
