Adds up the minor head losses of the fittings along a pipe of one diameter. Enter how many of each fitting the line has; fittings not in the list can be added as an additional k.
Given the diameter, calculates the sum of the loss coefficients, and the coefficients for the expressions:
hf=∑k⋅2gU2hf=kQ⋅Q2
Given the flow and the diameter, also calculates the velocity and the head loss.
The k values are approximate, typical values (Azevedo Netto). For gradual expansions and reductions, k refers to the velocity in the smaller section. Where a fitting's k depends on its geometry, its opening or the flow split, its own block gives a more precise value, which can be entered as an additional k.
