Calculates grit chamber installations for water intake structures in rivers.

Given the flow and the grit chamber dimensions, calculates the superficial flow rate, the settling critical velocity and the horizontal velocity.

- According to Brazilian standards, the critical sedimentation velocity must be equal or less than 2.4 cm/s.
- According to Brazilian standards, the actual lenght of the grit chamber (L) must be equal to the theoretical lenght multiplied by 1.5.
- According to Brazilian standards, maximum horizontal velocity shall not be greater than 0,30 m/s.
